Geez, my Ruger Alaskan in .375 Ruger only weighs 10lbs 4oz with gun, scope, rings and 4 rounds, and I consider that a heavy gun. These Savage's obviously would be better blind guns than carry guns.

they are 8-9lbs with medium to heavy contour barrels. Not ultralight pencils.

My hell’s canyon long range with a 26” heavy barrel weighs 1.5lbs less than these guns bare.. which have a shorter barrel and lighter contour. This is way to heavy.. the days of carrying 11-12lb guns are long behind us.

You can buy a savage ultralight with a proof barrel for same price or less than this gun and it’s hovering around 5lbs.

I'd like to know about their compatibility with parts for the model 10/110. Do prefit savage barrels fit? Is action screw spacing the same? It looks like a chassis would need some modifications around the bolt handle... But would the rest of the footprint line up? Can't wait for more info to trickle out on these.

A .223 version would be very tempting
