Exporting firearms from Canada into USA

My apologies if this has been discussed before. I have heard many rumours that it's difficult/impossible to import most of the recently prohibited firearms into the USA. I've tried researching it online but frankly I have a hard time interpreting the ATF regulations. Is there a plain English synopsis anywhere of the real world realities of this process? I'm mostly interested because there is a good chance I will be moving to the US and world like to bring my guns with me. Are some styles easier/harder than others? Where do antiques, Black Powder and milsurps like a le-enfield fit in? Is there a general list of models or characteristics that go/not go? Figured you guys would know better than anyone else because you literally do this for a living.

    Thanks

    Mike

They made a thread pertaining to this right after the OIC was announced. Search for it in their forum.

    Good Afternoon MikeD81,

Thanks for the question, currently the best way for you to proceed would be to contact either our US facility or our Canadian facility. Make a list of the firearms you would like to bring across and one of our knowledgeable staff over the phone can give you the answers the you seek or they will navigate the deeps of ATF to find out.
