    My 500 had light primer strikes. Only took one trip to the gunsmith to fix it. He said it's common - the firing pin spring needed to be less .. robust...

    Always tempted to grab one of these on the cheap and try and find some wooden furniture off an old 500.

    You may already be aware of this but the fore end is moulded into the action bars on the 88, you’ll need the assembly for the 500’s fore end
