Now that STI has imploded can you bring in alternate 2011 receivers?

Specifically im curious of you can either serialize aluminum or stainless 80% receivers and bring them in as firearms?? Or import complete STI 2011 knockoffs that are available to the US market?
Can I buy a 80% 2011 receiver and have it shipped to your US store for serialization and importation as a registered firearm? If so, what would the serialization and importation be worth?

I believe 80%'s are prohibited now, serial or no? Man it's hard to keep track

80% receiver isn't a firearm under the law, but the rcmp interprets the law in a way that they are, however they also believe the ruger 25 round mags are prohib and that Anna Nicole married for love.

Importing a serialized and registered 80% receiver should be the same as importing a 100% receiver. I need to fit it to a slide, so I'd rather start with an properly registered 80 with a professional looking serial number.
I don't see the issue, as long as an export permit can be gotten, I assume irg will know if its possible or not.
