With the 185 gr at 1250 fps ( energy is around 650 pounds ) the HK Mark 23 is on par with a 10mm full trottle load. I never thought shooting 45 ACP could be so exalarating. And all that with the recoil almost neglegible.

This pistol is much more offensive than defensive. Yep.
