I bought one of these from a place in Ottawa before the Liberal’s made them cool... a friend of mine has it now, maybe getting close to 400 rounds... it blew up this weekend, somehow fired out of battery, sheared the rear pin off and blew apart the upper... we are still looking into what happened... only ever fired factory Ammo, and cleaned regularly...

He’s ok, just some minor powder burns.
The upper receiver folded forward at the forward takedown pin, blew the mag out and it was obliterated. The semi chambered round must have been almost fully seated but it did come apart, the bolt was slammed to the rear ripping the guide rod out and gouging the inside of the receiver. He has the photos, I’ll see if he wants to share them.
This was an outstanding rifle up until this point, accurate enough to take partridge heads off and light enough to carry all day, I’m curious if anyone else out there has had an issue with them?

Hey. Looks good. Can I use some modern rifle scope on this rifle? I want to try thermal weapon sight for hunting at night. Did you have such experience? I saw some affordable options on https://www.agmglobalvision.com/ther...-weapon-sights quite good characteristics!
