There wasn't any Gen 2 that shipped in place of FS Ckye Pods. There were ones that were put together with Gen 2 parts but they are not a true Gen 2 as they did not get the manufacturing updates.

I believe it's lockable pan control and a knurled knob to adjust tilt tension instead of the screw on the gen 1

The most visible difference is the locking pan and tool-less cant adjustment. But Gen 2 have various manufacturing changes such as the final process for coating, and a different set of tolerances.
