    Hi Suspect187
Stepdown will depend on environmental conditions/heat

    Intelligent Protection
    Overheat protection:
The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used on Turbo or High for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 50°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature: the light will downshift until to 550 lumens if Turbo is being selected; the light will downshift until to 450 lumens if High is being selected.

    Time-limited downshift
When the light is kept working on Turbo for over 15 minutes, the output will reduce to 900-550 lumens within 15 minutes.
Note: Tested according to laboratory cooling test conditions.

When High or Turbo is needed again, restart the light or directly cycle back if battery level allows.

Will the light also work on CR123 batteries? If so, how does that change the output numbers?

    Thx

    Hello Tyroma

Sorry the PD36R is run on a 21700 battery that is included with the light, CR123 will not work in this light

Got a pd36r about a week or two ago and have tested it out a bit now around the house, working on the truck and a trip to camp, and I'm impressed.. this little light is great! super simple, very bright, and nice beam, oh and I love that it charges off the c-charger.. had a slight mix up with my original order because I was debating getting the pd40 and the pd35, I placed the order for a 35 and later realized it didnt come with a battery like the 36 and 40 do. I sent an email right away to add a battery or two to my order and got an email back right away(which went to my junk mail so I didnt see it right away) next morning I called and they told me my order was packaged waiting for canada post to pick it up and the only thing they could do was pull the package and cancel my order so I could reorder everything I needed(which I told them to do) order was cancelled and after a bit more research I decided to get the pd36r instead, and I'm extremely happy I did...
Long story short, I got amazing service from Notosora! In my mind they went above and beyond, I'm very satisfied with my first interaction with them, oh yea, and my sweet new fenix light
