Our friends at the Canadian Historical Arms Museum have taken a look at this Springfield M1D Garand Sniper and confirmed Springfield receiver, action and that the barrel is Springfield as well, but most likely re-barrelled. This rifle was re-stocked at some point as well, so it is not all original.
