I can see the cost of the CO2 being an achilles heel. Man I wish we could just recharge them with a compressor(I know the PSI is all wrong)

Looking at the threading on the co2 cartridge, the paintball HPA equipment should work.
A 68cubic inch carbon fibre tank filled to 4500psi with the regulator calming it down to 750psi feeding through a remote hose (tank on the back of a vest).
Sweet.
It's not straight forward, but certainly doable.
Have an older Umarex Hammerli 850 .22 that runs on Co2. Also have an older 2x12g CO2 adapter.
Still converted it to PCP to make use of my Pneumatic Pump.
