Hi everybody,
New to this website but not to shooting. I used to live in northern BC near a range and had a lot of fun shooting some 30 years ago but then I moved away, got busy, got married, had kids, etc. and now have an eye towards eventual retirement in the next 10 years.I'm currently mulling over where I want to be when I retire and what I want to do. I'm not much for golf and so I see myself mostly hiking, shooting, fishing (fresh and ocean) and travelling this great country of ours, that's what I want to do. I'm not a hunter but I have friends who hunt and one who traps and I have no issues with hunting, I just prefer to shoot targets. I've been slowly reading up on shooting and getting back up to speed on things (and the costs - yikes!). Picked up a 1950 Russian SKS and a 1918 Enfield MK III* (sporterized) recently, and I've become much more interested in military rifles in recent years. The M1 Garand is on my wish list as is an Enfield No. 5 Mk. I which I used to use when I did exploration work many years ago (it wasn't mine). Living in southern BC now and looking forward to getting out into the bush and exploring old logging roads and spending time in the fresh air. Stay safe everyone! Cheers, Carl
