It doesn’t come with the barrel nut or handguard so it’s not a complete upper, you would need a vise and tools to install these parts than 30 days to register I believe.

That's what I'm wondering too, it would be great to have the option but I would rather keep one an NR if I could.

EZ. Just use one of these to clamp the upper then pipe wrench... err barrel nut wrench it off.

So why on earth wouldn’t it just come as a complete 8” upper ?
