How to get a PAL in the times of Covid-19

I'm not new to shooting sports. I've had my pal almost ten years, been on here almost as long. A friend asked me how to get a PAL and I don't know the best way to get on a waiting list or find a class. So I figured I'd ask here.

My friend's in the Barrie, Ontario area, has a vehicle. Don't know how far he's willing to travel, but we can figure that out later.

    Any help welcome.

It has to start somewhere. It has to start sometime.
What better place than here? What better time than now?

Here is a place near Barrie, just just like most facilities, they are not accepting new registrations (even on the waitlist) until the lockdown is over. You can maybe contact them next month to see how your friend can get in.

If distance is not a factor, this is just a ride down the 400 and then across. I did my PAL here, and they are one of our sponsors. But I have called them to inquire about RPAL course, and they said to call them after the lockdown:

This place is also in your neck of the woods:

I read somewhere on here Rangeview Sports in Newmarket is open, maybe for courses. Try them.

I checked and the PAL/RPAL rescheduled courses are all sold out. Doesn't have any further details than that.

FOC, another sponsor here, has nothing listed currently but does have a course notifier for which you can sign up.

Barrie to Ajax is under 1 1/2 hours.
