I know an importer who sought to get products from FAMAE out of Chile. It was awful at every step and the desire to get things done doesn't exist because they're a govt organisation and get paid whether or not they sell stuff and make a profit. They already messed up the magwells which was an extremely simple thing to get right and rather than push back ERE and CSC knowing how long and how much pain it would take to fix it decided to import them anyway and hope their customers don't mind halved magazine capacity, enormously more expensive and less available magazines vs getting the factory to fix their mistake and give them what they paid for.

Even just getting a letter signed takes forever

We have had the previous two bookings cancelled due to the delays. It looks like this will be right down to the wire.

Does CSC have anybody on the ground in Chile to verify the problems that have come about. This surely can’t be Famae’s first export. What happened to shipping is imminent and all export issues have been resolved. It seems to me Famae knows our issues and is creating more to avoid shipping and keep rifles and payments.

This is a very fair question, I hope CSC has the integrity to give it a full answer

We are not the exporter ERE is. They have someone on the ground.
This is Chile. The have a well deserved reputation for bureaucracy, and government incompetence.
