Sounds more and more like a grand down the drain
A grand for a valuable lesson. Chile sucks.
Here is the latest update, and it is unfortunately more bad news. The shipment is crated and waiting to get booked on a cargo flight. Apparently Chile has decided that their military needs to approve the export, and so far the military bureaucracy has moved at a snails pace. We have had the previous two bookings cancelled due to the delays. It looks like this will be right down to the wire.I called it.The latest update, and it is really not good.
The bureaucracy in Chile has decided that the export of this shipment can not be approved until a committee sits (end September), and makes a recommendation for the minister. Thus nothing is going to move until October. When asked why this was not done over the past year, there was no response.
It's hard to tell whether this is just normal bureaucratic incompetence in Chile, or if our protestations about time being of the essence made things worse. In any event, we wait.
Honestly CSC aren't to blame, this is Chile explaining to the world why it is how it is
The risk was never about Famae not being able to export rifles out of Chile it was about importing them into Canada. As far as I’m concerned Famae did not come through with their part of the contract. They are in the business of manufacturing and selling firearms they surely must know their countries export laws. It seems like nothing but a scam, was the magazine mistake really that. This whole thing stinks!
The rug isnt just pulled , its been thrown out
FAMAE thanks you for your donation.
