Any news on the .308 model?

Wish this was in 308.

Would be considered restricted because of overall length. The 308's have a 16.5" barrel which puts the overall length at 25". With the production backlog that Sig Sauer has right now, I don't think that making a special run of 18" (or longer) barrels for just the Canadian market is a priority for them right now. Given Sig's track record with making a million different version's of their models we're pretty confident there will be other offering coming down the pipe in the future.

Also according to irunguns, overall length via muzzle device pinning does not remedy the issue as it does in the US.

Any pinned on or threaded devices, removable or not, do not add to the barrel length of a firearm.

Not in Canada anyway.
