Insurance premiums are the culprit here. I'd guess that dangerous goods are probably such a small portion of Canpars portfolio that the additional premiums are not fiscally prudent. It's the exact reason Canada Post will not ship them. Insurance rates have skyrocketed across the board over the last year.

If that was the case (insurance issues), Can Par would still be shipping firearms and parts. But they've blocked those, too.

How long will it be before Trudeau forces Canada Post to stop shipping for the firearms industry as well . No doubt they would argue that shipping firearms is just too dangerous , and puts Postal workers at risk .

That would not surprise me..
