Henry Small Game Carbine .22 WMR

I just finished putting the first two hundred rounds through my new Henry Small Game Rifle and wanted to compliment the manufacturer on the quality of their product. The gun is well made, the wood is attractive, the action is very smooth and the rifle is very accurate at 50 yards with the Skinner sights. It really is a bargain for the price paid. I will definitely buy another one of your products in the future!

Put another 200 rounds through her and still in love! The octagonal barrel dissipates the heat efficiently. I didn't notice any change in accuracy after consecutively emptying 4 magazines, which is 36 rounds! Now I just have to wait for that darn squirrel to come back. Come winter she'll accompany me on dog walks through snowshoe hare territory. Again, thank you for a great product!

Hows the quality of the finish on the barrel?

I had to return a 45/70 due to rust and deep pits, as well as really bad wear or what looked like maybe scratching or inconsistent application of the finish.

Hasn't fully turned me off to henry, but was disappointing.

Same story here with respect to the rust! Haven’t looked at another since!

The coating is even, can't see any defects underneath it either. All of the metal parts have a good fit and finish level IMO.

Also, I fed the rifle Remington, CCI and Winchester ammo without any difference in performance, it's nice to know that it's not picky!
