It has been a little while since it was anounced that Nikon would no longer be producing scopes. The distributor bought up all remaining Inventory. Over the months it was slowly coming down. Now they are out. Once these are gone, that will be it for our stock of this great these legendary scopes.
What's the word on the Nikon warranty on pre-existing scopes?
I read in another thread a few months ago that someone was offered credit towards other Nikon products when he tried to warranty his scope - so don't expect it to be fixed or replaced, sadly. They still make camera lenses, rangefinders, binoculars, and spotting scopes, I've got a Nikon rangefinder and I quite like it.Originally Posted by ddekeyser

I remember that thread as well. If I recall correctly you need to have your original purchase receipt and then they will give you credit to another Nikon product but as Suther indicated they won't be repairing or replacing the scope. That said I have never had any problems with the two Nikons I have and I quite like them.
I’m with you. I have never had any issues with all three of mine as well! If I could find another black FX1000 6-24 Mos if take it
