Ounces leads to pounds, pounds lead to pain.
Light, strong and cheap - pick two.
I was going to use brass sheet doubled over for shims but couldn't find any so I went to range without. After a couple of shots to get on paper, the first groups at 25 yds were decent.
The next were at 50yds and still not bad.
This was the best I could do at 100 yds.
I wear progressive lens glasses and open sights are difficult for me. A better shooter could've cut these groups in half.
I'm happy with these results and would definitely say this rifle is not 'shot out.'
