The nice thing about the 45 GAP is that if you're a reloader ammo will never be a problem. Brass is still available and if it isn't you can always trim 45 ACP cases to the correct length and they work fine. They also use standard 45 ACP bullets so finding projectiles will never be an issue. 45 GAP can be loaded with 45 ACP dies. Unlike many obsolete/unique cartridges which have oddball bullet or case dimensions (e.g the 41 Action Express or 38 S&W) the 45 GAP is basically just a slightly shortend 45 ACP so cartridge conversion is simple.
Just grab extra mags as they are the only thing that may become unobtanium.
