Planning on living forever. So far, so good!
There are those who will call that stolen valor, so probably best not to try.
On a couple of past occasions I've seen someone get themselves in deep doodoo and peril of life and gotten involved in bringing them to safety, but that was because that's the right thing to do when a situation happens. It's never been my paid duty, so I don't claim FR status.
Now, I'm wondering how many ordinary folk see something like this FR discount, or a senior's discount at a restaurant or such, and see it as the rest of us paying too much. Probably happens, but a lot of others are willing to tip the favoured group.
Let him, then when he is outed, we can laugh at him.
Well living in a retirement town, and my mother and step father are retired. They make less than 1/2 of what they did when they were working. So seeing many places offer seniors discount, just helps them manage money better, they don't need to do without.
Honestly I barely use my vet card for discounts. Once a month I get 14$ off a 100$ bag of dog food... weeeee
But if a business wants to say thanks let them. Local bar offer discount on Bikers, but not anyone else.
April 8th, remember 22 Bravo. Take a min to remember the Fallen.
Sometimes I have to put beer on the barbeque to stop the sausages from burning, that's firefighting right?
