The following thread has known sources of 1913 stocks -> https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...ocks-in-Canada
The last post notes he got a 1913 stock in from Brownell's in a timely 2 week manner. Since its not listed as an AR stock, you may have some luck getting a 1913 stock in from the United States. If you want to get a skeleton stock, the AK (Zhukov) rear module may be another option. Good luck!
Does anyone have a picture with the external bolt catch? The geometry of the lower looks like it might make the bolt catch hang out in open space a bit.
SpectreBallistics do you have any plans to make your own external bolt catch?
If you're in batch 4 keep an eye on your inboxes!
We have sent out emails to some of batch 4 pre-orders. The remaining batch 4 pre-orders will get their emails in a week or two once more receivers get back from anodizing.
Thanks everyone who has paid promptly for your Lynx lower. We still have several people who haven't paid. Please check your inboxes.
We have received several emails recently regarding the status of pre-orders. So here's an update:
Batch 4: Emails have gone out to some early batch 4 pre-orders. We had extra receivers from batch 3.
Batch 4: The batch 4 receivers are currently being anodized. We're waiting for them to be done. As soon as they are finished we will send out the remaining batch 4 emails.
Batch 5: Some early batch 5 pre-orders will get a batch 4 receiver. Please don't email us asking if it's you. Batch 5 receivers are finishing CNC operations and should be off to anodizing before the new year.
Batch 6: Not available for pre-order. Raw material expected to arrive anytime.
Uppers: Working on it. Based on our testing we had to make some minor geometry changes to improve feed and firing reliability. We're not rushing to market even though many people want our upper badly. We aren't going to release something that hasn't been extensively tested.
Pre-Order Deposits: We have had a couple people cancel or change their pre-order who were upset with the deposit being non-refundable and non-transferable. When you pre-order a receiver from us this allocates a spot in line and ingot of aluminum for you. The reason you paid a deposit is so we know how many receivers we need to make and how many receivers will sell. The deposit doesn't cover the entire cost of manufacturing the receiver, not even close. When you cancel a pre-order it leaves us hanging with an unallocated receiver. While we will sell it to the next spot in line, your deposit is non-refundable. We hope people can understand this policy. If this isn't something you agree with, participating in our pre-order program isn't for you. We don't mean to be insensitive with this stance.
Ah yes. As someone who's worked in sales/service for years and isn't associated associated with Spectre Ballistics, I'll happily be insensitive; what part of "non-refundable deposit" don't these morons get? Time costs money, employees need to get paid, and every transaction costs the business in some way (wages, overhead, CC/terminal fees, etc.), so deposits aren't refunded in order to cover these costs.
Don't like it? That's fine- just wait patiently and buy it off a shelf when the preorder stage is done. And if you lack the intelligence to understand the concept of a non-refundable deposit pre-order... get a new hobby. Maybe playing in traffic or running with scissors?
Understand that voting got us into this mess, do you really believe more voting will get us out? I await the day when the ballots will be cast in the streets, before the guillotine and the gallows; until then, nothing will truly change.
Batch 4 is back from anodizing! We're going to spend a day assembling them and then start sending out emails. This will cover the remaining batch 4 pre-orders and part of batch 5.
Batch 4 emails went out yesterday. Check your inboxes! If you don't see it, check your spam.
