    Ex Canadian Government Sat Phone.

    Surplus Canadian Government Unit. We have 2 Units of these, Good Condition With Lots Of Extras.

    You would have to go to a local dealer who sells phone or plans. You would need to choose between a pre-paid or a monthly plan. They will install a SIM card according to the plan that you are on. There is a few online places who will offer the plans and SIM cards.

    I slept next to one of those cases in an Iltis in Bosnia driving to Sarajevo from Zgon. The reason we had them was cell coverage in the valleys was sporadic and FM radio coverage even worse.

    Zgon!! I was SFOR Roto 0. We had one at the Company level. Took hours to get it to work, almost as long as it took the PLG GPS to get a fix. I imagine the satellite coverage is better these days.

    It may be true or not true, who realy knows for sure? Do you know of a form of communication that would work outside of cell service area that would not have this?

    I was Zgon SFOR Roto 3! Ya one of those was always in the comms room.
