All of our devices are built with Photonis Echo Gen2+ White Phosphor tubes. Why? Because from our experience sampling most of the Photonis line, they offer the best combination of price-to-performance.
Echos have an EBI range from 0.1 to 2.5 with most falling in the 1.2 to 1.8 mark.
If you have specific EBI requirements, you can choose the Hand-Select option and we can work with you to pick the right tube out of our inventory.

The Act in Black "THE14" is basically our Spyron ( https://coldharboursupply.com/produc...white-phosphor )with some lightweight lenses. It's possible to get them but pricing would be well north of $4500 CAD + HST.
The Spyron is due to be back in stock in under 2 weeks.
If you're specifically looking for a lightweight monocular option, we have something else cooking in the works that should come to fruition early next year.

Out of the question I'm afraid as US tubes are restricted for export due to ITAR, and Harder Digital tubes (Germany) seem to be prohibitively expensive. From our comparative testing, Photonis tubes hold their own against their US Gen3 thin-film counterparts while offering a full warranty and support.
Check out some of these links where we put Photonis Echos up against US Gen 3 thin-film OMNI 7 contract tubes:

Where you will start seeing a difference is in truly dark situations with little to no ambient light - this is where "filmless" technology really shine, but again, impossible to obtain legally unless you're MIL/LE working directly with L3 (think CANSOFCOM)
On the flip side, we've demo'd these at night at some events and in a blind test, most people actually PREFERRED the Photonis Echos as they exhibit less image noise and higher resolution, especially in moderate to mixed-light (eg: urban) scenarios.

Any possibility of bringing in some long range clip-ons, similar to PVS-24LR, PVS-27, PVS-30?

Are there any options that are either available here or actually importable in terms of thermal sight that's mountable on a carbine? Less than $3k Canadian...

Would something like this be available in Canada? & are thermal imagers covered under the same rules as night vision for export from the US? Thanks

We're in the middle of testing some options out. Problem is cheap clip-ons aren't good (Armasight - huge POI shifts), and good clip-ons aren't cheap. While we'd love to get our hands on an L3 CNVD-LR, most of the options you've listed are unfortunately definitely ITAR-restricted.

Check out some Pulsar units, made in the EU (France). I think a few were floating around Amazon a few years back. Very difficult to have as a regularly-stocked item, possibly in 2022...

Thermal unfortunately does fall under the umbrella of "night vision" (it's just a different spectrum), and are thus regulated under ITAR and on the USML. Check out some of the Pulsar offerings, I recall they were decent from us messing around with them a couple of years ago. IRay is actually a Chinese company so you don't exactly have to go through the US for these things.

I'm looking to get an NV setup in the near future. I've been looking at the Holosun LE321G. Is there any major disadvantage to going with this all in one unit instead of a vampire alongside something like a LE117IR?
