Is the lower a single milled receiver? Or a clam shell held together with screws? The pictures around the trigger guard sort of give the illusion that its a clam shell........

This is true. I'd be in if I didn't sink 1000's of $ into prohib paperweights just before they got banned. The Liberals will update their ban list every couple years, anyways. It gets me hot under the collar just thinking about it.

    "Aircraft grade aluminum"
That's even funnier than the price.

Interesting, never seen a firearm made from 2024 aluminum! It IS stronger and harder than 6061... But not as good as 7075.

JK; it's probably made of 6061. If it was 7075, they'd brag about it.

    Page 8 of the manual shows it's a clamshell - https://jardinc.com/assets/images/J180%20Manual.pdf

I'm very interested here, but I'm skeptical given Jard's reputation with previous projects... anyone else here actually had one of these in their hands yet?

Member dwightfehr has indicated he has received the kit. Hopefully he will post his impressions once he has time to build a firearm with the kit and use it.

Thanks for the manual link! Below are some breakout diagrams from the manual.

Can’t figure out the pics thing, but mine is built with bushmaster barrel and accessories, functions fine no issues so far, waiting for my optic to arrive for it, just ran 10 rounds to test, Jard trigger is nice, going to run it at some targets and yotes this weekend when my scope arrives on friday
