I went out and looked at my stevens 340 and savage 325... neither one is drilled and tapped for a scope mount

the 340 has 2 holes drilled and tapped at the very rear of the receiver for some sort of peep sight

    but those rails look fantastic
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks that nothing is worth war, is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

If the base is going to b used with a scope there is no need for all the slots only a few a the front and back for some eye relief adjustments.save lots of time

Damn it. I just checked mine assuming it was D & T for side mount scope base. Mine are the same as yours. I have a 325 and 340 also. Just 2 rear peep site holes. Frig.

Nanuk: I’ll be doing another run of these in January. Blued steel has been the clear winner but if you would like one in aluminum Id happily throw one into the mix for you. Pm me if you’d like!
    Happy new year folks!
    Paul.
