    6.5 PRC Ammo

We just received a few boxes of Hornady 6.5PRC 143 gr ELD-X. It is not online. (69.99)
We will hold it for clients that are buying a rifle and allow a couple boxes with each rifle
We do have a fair bit of Gunwerkes in both hunting and match. Pricey, but good

Not limits on the GW ammo.

Wow, just wow...$9.20 per round +tax is a little more than just pricey. JMHO, though.

A friend was so impressed with my 6.5PRC, he is interested in buying one, 3/8moa with the factory Hornady 143ELDX load even impressed me. Helping him shop fora new rifle. I am surprised how many manufacturers are now chambering the cartridge. I would expect that with so many more manufacturers now chambering the 6.5PRC, more manufacturers will start loading it, and it will get easier to source.
    only accurate guns are interesting

    No better time to reload!!
My first kit was this Hornady one about a decade ago….

I’ve since upgraded numerous parts but it’s a great deal when on sale for around $400.
I’ve been loading my 6.5 PRC Savage UL with 142 grain accubonds and 56 grains of R26. True half inch 3 shot groups and average velocity of 3030fps.

With the ammo prices, reloading is a no brainer. Lapua makes PRC brass now and it can be had for about $2 per piece. The components are around with some searching.

Yeah you are correct… a quick check of Tesro and Hirsch show that they are out of 6.5 PRC Lapua but have lots of other calibers in stock. I’m sure Prophetriver has more on the way. I pre-ordered it last time as I knew once it hit the store it would be gone quick.

300 boxes of it went just from people on the back list and the first and only week we had it. We have a couple boxes here but are holding them for people who are looking to buy a rifle.
