Canadian 1960s Cold War Era Surplus.

We have had a truck just drop off a bunch of surplus products this morning from a Canadian government depot. This lot consists mainly of survival and medical type supplies that were purchased in the 1960s in the event of a Nuclear war with Russia. All of the items that we have looked at so far are in new condition. We will be posting these as we unpack them.

If they were available, I do not think the government would allow us untrustworthy gun owners to by them.

These are a rather interesting item. Never issued Canvas stretcher from Canadian Government Stores.

Ditto. I could see grabbing one of those lanterns.

Also is there a readily available mantel that works with it?

We will have a closer look tomorrow. Our guess is that they are something that is no longer comparable. Most people buying them are doing so as a antique.

    Yeah. What he said.

Whether or not we can find cylinders that fit is a deal maker/breaker.
