Found a quick youtube review from the other day. Doesn't seem very impressive.

So, the creator of that video didn't like the smoothness of the Bolt Throw or the plastic Take-Down Lever. Big whoop. If those were his only complaints I'll happily take my chances with the Trail model, which is getting rave reviews by everyone who handles it.

Compared to the cz 527,550, and 557 this looks like a big down grade while keeping the price high. To much plastic for my liking but to each their own.

That's why I'm going with the Lux with the steel receiver and wood stock.

Does anyone know if CZ is planning any mid power calibers (.243, 6.5, 7-08, etc.) for the Lux? Looks like the perfect platform for a nice non-scoped deer rifle in .243 to me. Find it odd that they jumped from .223 up to .308.

Why not? As already stated above, a .300 Blk version is in development. For those early adopters who bought the .223 like me, all we need is the promised .300 Blk Barrel, as the CZ600 system features a quick-change Barrel system. Easy peasy.....

True, but for me, it just makes it more outdoor friendly. That's why I went with the Alpha. I have a 21, 600, 550, 527 and 557 for that all steel and wood feel. .

There's still inventory of 557 Lux and Lux 2 models for those that don't want plastic.

Any word on availability or pricing for accessories?

How much will spare mags cost? What about barrels? I'm hoping to grab a 6.5 barrel to go with my .308 Lux.
