Wonder if the price is up? I literally just paid $2500 for a new trapper.

I was lucky enough to spend an afternoon shooting one of the new Marlins at a friends place in Montana. What a BEAUTIFUL rifle! I'm a real fan of lever guns, and have quite a few, from everyone who currently makes them. The fit & finish on it is really, Really good; no spaces, no gaps, everything is snug & tight. The wood is really nice, checkering is nice and crisp. The action is fantastic; VERY smooth, just the right resistance cycling the action. It locks up very solidly, and is aa comfortable gun to shoot, even running stout reloads. It's a softer hooting 45/70 than either my Henry or my Remington era Marlin.
45/70 is not a favourite calibre for me, and I already have two of them. But...I have one on order. I will likely sell one or both of mine when it arrives. I am now Really looking forward to their line filling out again. I'm a big fan of .357 mag, and I'll absolutely be adding a new Ruger/Marlin to my safe when it's released
I can't wait for the 336 and 1894 models to follow.
.338 is where the fun starts.
The new Ruger/Marlins are starting to arrive at select gun shops in Canada.
They are absolutely gorgeous and worth the wait.
Better than original JM Marlins in my opinion.......
The only government I trust is 45-70 Government!
Are there any marlin darks coming
anyone have trapper model in stock atm, or have them available to be reserved?
I have to say that the new Ruger SBL & Trapper model is a very well put together offering and they are flawless,
i purchased one of each a few months ago and they are smooth to operate and i have had no issues with them.
They handle the 405 gr or 325 gr with mild recoil when having a Ranger Point M/Brake installed.
Money well spent, for those of you north of the border waiting for them to show up you won't be disappointed.
