Definitely inspected it before using it and no crack was visible. I think the screws in fore end were screwed in too tight and caused stress on the wooden fore end that caused a crack once subjected to recoil

Like what the other member said, just buy a Magpul or whatever aftermarket ones work, or go on gun post or EE as they will be sold there too. I wouldn’t have bother waiting 10 months unless I couldn’t fix it. Btw what’s up with the third person stuff, kinda scary.

Thanks for your contribution, can you show me in OP's post where it says the firearms was carefully inspected before the first firing? Oh you can't? I guess you are just being a troll to kill the hours eh?

Or about the not being purchased from Wolverine part. Relax guy.

And no, not just to kill the hours. I'm a troll on the internet sometimes because it's entertaining as #### when people (Not naming any names) lose their sh!t about trivial things. So thanks for that, haha

Just for the record the Magpul one does not fit without modification. Ask me how I know. Having said that it's worth the modification.

I sold my original nightstick forend and grip. Check on ee they pop up quite often.

While I appreciate all the suggestions to purchase aftermarket I still don’t think I should have to be paying out of pocket to purchase an aftermarket item to fix an issue with mossberg’s quality control.

Also guys we are all gun owners, we should all be on the same team. Let’s stop fighting over the internet

Would yellow wood glue/light clamp not hold it together in the meantime so at least you could use it? That's what I'd do, better than duct tape.

Stores also sometimes sell damaged product though.

While you wait why not glue and clamp it? Use some tightbond 3 and clamp it for 48 hours. Once dry the wood will fail before the glue does. I use it for gluing on risers and tip overlays on my bows, it’s holds up to that perfectly and would hold on your application. In all honesty that could be fixed with half hours of work and waiting on glue to dry. Don’t let something so minor stop you from enjoying the thing. That last bit is sure a kick in the nuts, hope it all works out for ya
