Excellent response on the barrels! That level of care in the product, combined with the AR-15 like ergonomics may well be enough value to offset the military use of a Tavor or Bren 2 at a similar price point. Get a 7.62x39 mm version that can feed reliably from XCR pistol mags or take AK mags, and the R18 can also eat the M10x's lunch, as the price premium is worth it for much better reliability.

We tested a ton of rifles with this new barrel and it works!!!

Unfortunately the weight has also gone up, but we couldn’t help that at all:

8 lbs 8 oz for the 6 position
8 lbs 10 oz for the folder

We’ve confirmed with Mike (OPS guy for SAI) and…Yes, they will rebarrel anyone’s rifle once we get the barrels in (3-4 weeks) as a warranty issue.

Please be patient and enjoy your rifle in the mean time. Just don’t expect accuracy miracles. ;-)
Out of curiosity who is the barrel manufacturer of the new barrels? Or if machined I house who's blanks are you using?

I saw the R18 on your guyses range gun wall! Your employees sure can talk it up - only 1 failure in 6000.
Definitely makes me want to try it out one of these days.

Any chance you can bring in Brownell's 1913 folding fixed length AR-180 style stock? https://youtu.be/lhIKRu39Exs

Hello- my friend has one of these and it absolutely will not cycle any barnaul ammo. We even had a few issues extracting some .223 brass stuff, i believe winchester. Will need to confirm.

What should he do? Have there been any adjustments to the gas system? Why will it not cycle steel?

It should absolutely use Steel cased ammo.

A 180 degree turn, opening the gas, should cure all.

It also should have an adjustable gas block. It if doesn’t, it is one of the very early rifles and can be sent back to have it changed out.

Please let us know how we can help out.

Thank you for the information. Do you have a picture of the early models without the adjustable gas block?
