Figure out the measurement needed with spring and 5 rounds. Cut just above the bottom and tack it on the proper height to the top with a little shop welder. Finish with apoxy or jb weld… depending if you want to weld all the way around?

very easy to chopped sks and t81 mags. i have done it lots of times.
