The standard folder already has the safety on the right side. If you don't like the pins sticking out on the OR folders, just cut them off.

Only the fixed stock has the safety on the left side.

Damn normal folder sold out fast, bought 3 of the optic ready ones instead... The drill holes can't be that obnoxious if you don't mount a scope.

I figured the same, glad I bought this version now.

The SE Optic Ready has no extra holes drilled into it. It uses the same no-drill threaded hammer and trigger pin used in both TI Optic Mount kits. If you are planning on using a TI optic mount at some point in the future, this is a big advantage, as the hardest part of the installation process is the pin installation; screwing the plate onto the pin's threads is the easy part. Even if you don't intend to install an optic rail, or want to swap the pins for those that come with the non-TI AK/SVD side rail mount kit that is coming out later, the only difference between the non-Optic ready and Optic ready is you have some short threaded posts projecting from the side of the receive. I'm sure you could put a thread cap or washer and nut on their if you don't want the threads to be damaged or snag anything.

TI has indicated the production run would be split into three to four shipments, leaving between one and two shipments remaining.
