The Gen 2 actually looks pretty decent and at half the price of some of the other new options out there, I may actually have to give it a try.
 
Do they plan on making a longer side charging handle that would cover the hole in the receiver? If not would they be compatible with after market side charging handles?
 
Looks good though. I do like . I bought the first ones that came out . It had some growing pains . But I liked it a lot . Still have it 4000 rounds later . One broken piston . ����
 
Looks like the upper should still fit on regular ar180 type lowers too, given that the rear takedown pin goes through that ar180 protrusion on the bottom of the rear upper. Im hoping they switched to a rifle length gas system and generally made the workings more robust and less prone to breakage after a few thousand rounds.
 
Will the new external bolt catch be available as a part for those of us with a Gen1 or a lower from TNA or the various other site sponsors?
