Great for stowing in a vehicle, quad etc as part of the emergency kit. Bomb proof, effective and doesn't take up lot of space plus if it gets stolen you don't loose a lot of cash.

    not shilling for Frontier.

They are not packed in a box, just single units. No indication of shelf life. We tried one that was 30 years old and it burnt fine. We are about 50% sold out now.

No experience with Frontier's offerings, but if they are not in the plastic wrapped kit with the matches, it is entirely possible that the alcohol has evaporated out over time. I've had the seal/gasket fail, the alcohol evaporate out, and the gel degrades.

They're cool, and the price is right, but there's nothing unique about this relative to the green box stuff you can get in the camping aisle at Crappy Tire, or Sterno from a grocery store.

Looking at Youtube videos it seems there is a metal seal on the top after you open the lid? Most of the vids I saw included them opening that seal with a pocket knife.

Frontier you mention that they're not in boxes. Are they still in the plastic? I was thinking about picking up a few for the cars...

More mini stoves have arrived. There has been a $3 price increase per stove. Multiple purchases have bulk discounts.

Also have some combos in the foldable stoves.
