I'm not quite sure where the idea came from that AP ammo was prohib in Canada. Any body shed some light on this for me?

BS.... as far as I know, they first thought the FN57 was prohib because of the 20rd mag. I've owned one for a couple of years, and the only problem the dealer that sold it to me was with the mag, not the pistol or the ammo.Originally Posted by m39a2

The AP ammo is prohibited by NAME in an OIC....try to keep up:D
AP pistol ammo is prohib,
AP rifle is fine.

If it fits in a commonly availible handgun or revolver it is illegal. I believe the round for the P90/5-7 was named as a handgun cartridge in some law.

Yeah, and the original 5.7 x 28mm ammo was AP becuase it was military/LE use only... the Belgium stuff.
Since then, they have made a number of different rounds.

I found the ammo in Ellwood Epps 5.7 X 28 a box of 50 is approximately $38.99
you know that the last post before yours was on 04-16-2008.... 5 years ago.
but, on the flip side, for your first post it shows that you can use the "search feature" that not many people seem to know how to operate, so I gotta say... good for you!
