^ Unless BCL re-designs the MRX Supershort mags to work with 7.62x39, they don't feed, so you'd be stuck with sh!tty AR mags which would be a reliability nightmare.

My experience with feed and function in an AR chambered in 7.62x39mm with the XCR pistol magazines has been hit and miss. I know some folks have stated they had good luck with them, but for me at least they were not reliable.
The feed and function in the MRX chambered in .223 with any AR mags has been spotty with some slop between the mag and mag well, some working better than others.
The MRX super short mags fit the mag well like a glove, and feed smoothly.
