Aside from sticking some shells onto the side of your shotgun;
These are also handy to stick some shotgun shells on the velcro area of your chest-rig.

Size wise, does the receiver on the Turknelli fit a 7rd card? Or should I go with 6?

It’ll fit a six or a seven. I run a six because I load 5+1. Six fits well. Seven will fit but the release tab will hang over the grip area slightly but won’t interfere.
As jeffman said it will fit 7
