Odd statement, considering the Modern Sporter is not a named variant in any legislation in the firearms act or criminal code. There is no law that prohibits you from enjoying your Modern Sporter.

Laws by nature don't "allow" you to do something. Laws are prohibitive by nature.

    For clarity.
Our Modern line of rifles were NOT mentioned at all in the OIC, which IS the law regardless of how draconian it is.
Our Modern line of rifles had the FRT's unlawfully changed and redacted by the boys at the SFSS (rcmp firearms lab) However the FRT is NOT law, nor is it binding according to the first page of the FRT website that is at long last available for view by the average serf.
That all being said I agree with Runkles assessment that it could prove very spendy to prove yourself right.

Production, sales and delivery are under a cease and desist order from the EX CFO of Alberta and until we get back in front of Judge Gagne have our hands tied.
Meanwhile 18 months and 250000.00 later we are still waiting for the wheels of justice to start to turn again.

The firearms lab considers it a variant and prohibited. Going to end up with a hell of court case if u take it out.

And therein lies the problem. Their OPINION is not law but of course LE may take their opinion as gospel and ruin yet another humans life for nothing.
Like the rcmp, the sfss needs to be disbanded and replaced with something functional and that has strict oversight. But being Canadastan this is very unlikely to happen as corruption lies and deceit are now so ingrained into our government I doubt anything can fix our horribly broken system.

Is this the same firearms lab that did NOT consider it a variant for months/years before the OIC and stated same in writing?
