Worst rifle money can buy
I have seen exactly two of these in the wild, and they have both failed. Both at competitive shoots, one where the cocking handle quite literally disintegrated (threads holding it together completely stripped), and the second one where buddy was having no issues, hitting the plate at 100m, and then all of a sudden was just off by four or five feet to the point it was unusable for the rest of the match. To be fair, both of those rifles also failed at the Fort La Bosse rifle range, so maybe that place is just cursed for M10x's.
And for those saying 'wHy WoUld yOU pOst THiS? DoN'T yoU wANt tO SeLl it?', are you that unaccustomed to integrity that you can't spot an honest review with the aim of protecting consumers when you see one?
I was one of the first to buy one when they came to Canada.
My biggest gun regret. Brutal.

I think people are "butthurt" because your rifle is garbage. My type 81 will out shoot any of your guns (that actually work) all day long. Cry harder.
After reading this thread, I feel that a big credit needs to be given to M+M for stepping up and giving their side of the story.
Allthough I do not own this rifle and likely never will (due to scores of downright horrifying reviews out there), I do respect their passion in defending their product and attempting to clarify certain issues, as most manufacturers wouldn't even bother.
I actually do like this rifle quite a bit, but I'm not wealthy enough to be able to take a gamble of this kind, where the odds of getting a good one seem to be hovering at around 50-50, based on all the related internet chatter.
I'm pretty sure, that at some point in the future all of the issues will be eventually worked out of this rifle, as I believe they are being sincere in their attitudes (as far as admitting that there were/are issues and showing a genuine interest in wanting to fix them).
At least that is my impression from the M&M posts above.
Either way, I now have much more respect for these guys, then I did before.
"Gun control" is a feel good term, which is designed to disquise the globalist disarmament efforts under the pretense of fighting crime.
Having owned 4 Type 81’s - they’re a great rifle.
Having owned two m10x’s - they’re a different rifle entirely and will outshoot my 81’s easily, likely because I can mount optics. Also, ergos are better, and it’s more modular.
At this stage in my life, my firearms budget is fairly robust (mostly due to my wife’s business success). So I’m not really “butt hurt” to have had nearly every cool (in my opinion) rifle a Canadian can own in my collection at one point in time or another; HK G36, B&T, X95, etc. - Tho I do tend move on from them fairly fast, lest I become a hoarder. I do the same with muscle cars; I tend to own only one at a time, while owning a few at various times.
My point being; the M10x is a fine rifle in my experience. It does require pmags, and newly manufactured Russian ammo. Your m10x may differ, but mine was worth what I paid.
My most troublesome rifle is my WK180 - it only likes certain mags, had to have the chamber resized for 5.56, trigger is AWFUL, two bolts, three charging handles, but I still love it! I’ll buy the Gen 2 when I can find one.
If you want reliable; buy a Toyota. If you want cool; buy a Hellcat.
Same rules apply with rifles.
Don’t be be “butt hurt” when the Hellcat passes your Toyota, or when the Toyota passes the gas station.
I have to agree with your post Jeffman. I also think M+M is being attacked a little unfairly here. Like I said in my previous post, I had to order new parts for my M10x but now that it’s functioning properly I would take this rifle over a type 81 all day everyday of week.
Thank you.
As I think more about it, and how my WK180 is my most troublesome firearm, I’m remembering Wolverines review of that rifle - the rifle came off as pretty good.
The WK180 program was certainly nursed along by Wolverine, in fact my rifle has their logo emblazoned on its upper receiver.
I don’t think Wolverine has done anything nefarious (I actually don’t), but I do think they got a lemon m10x.
Had Wolverine reviewed their own WK180, that I was shipped, it wouldn’t have made it past five rounds, and would have cost them some sales.
I like my WK180 tho. I also like my m10x.
Edit to add: I’ll continue to send Wolverine most of my pay cheque, because I do think they’re a great company.
This is a problem with honest reviews of one sample. In my opinion.
I look forward to seeing their part 2. Good or bad, it should be interesting.
