Mossberg 590 and 590S Shockwave starting at $635.00

The Shockwave Raptor bird’s head pistol grip is uniquely shaped to minimize felt recoil. Includes all the features that have made Mossberg pump-actions the choice for millions worldwide: ambidextrous safety, dual extractors, positive steel-to-steel lockup, twin action bars, and a smooth operating anti-jam elevator.

For the ultimate in shooting flexibility, the all-new 590S Series cycles 1.75", 2.75", or 3" shells. Pick one shotshell length for specific shooting needs, or simultaneously load any combination of those shell lengths.

The choice is yours with the 590S.
Standard 590 Pump-Action Features: Dual extractors, twin action bars, positive steel-to-steel lockup, and anti-jam elevator provide smooth operation.

Other features include top-mounted ambidextrous safety, matte blue metal finish, magazine clean-out tube with cap, and a logo-engraved receiver.

Very cool especially being able to use the mini shells in the 590s without an adaptor.

For anyone with a shockwave definitely suggest installing a recoil strap on the birds head grip, actually makes it possible to aim and shoot effectively. Lucky gunner talks about it and has a video on the subject.

the cheek pistol concept is pretty interesting. On another note, can regular stocks be installed on these? Any disadvantages to the mini shell version?

A regular stock can be installed on these and I highly recommend it...particularly a Mossberg Magpul SGA.

    Yes.

Any regular Mossberg 500/590 stock will fit just fine.

And in Canada; There's no law against just putting a full stock on. (It's illegal in USA)

My regular shockwave will feed mixed length shells. How are these different?

The 590-S models will run those cute little mini-shells too.
