Glock 34 mos legal for production optics? I don't think it is

CZ for me, parts and service actually exist, also a solid gun and can drop an optic on it without being limited to only a handful of options.

The Shadow 2 OR now being around 700$ more than the X5 Legion, I would go SiG.

They are both excellent. I would suggest trying to see if someone at your local range can let you try them both and see which one fits your hand better. In Canada, it would be easier to get parts for the CZ than the Sig.

We sell and use Double Alpha gear and it is excellent. IPSC has a maximum 32 round field course limit so that is 4 magazines without allowing 1 to barney (add the 11th round into the chamber at the start). You also want to have at least one extra mag in case you have a malfunction. I would recommened a minimum of 5 with the ideal being six pouches and magazines.

If you need specific gear recommendations for a particular division, please let me know and I will assist.

4 or 5 mag pouches with good magazines should suffice, plus a couple of external magnets so that on a table start you can grab a couple of magazines and slap them on as you run. Use a crappy magazine (often the one that came with the gun) as a Barney, bring it up to the line on a magnet, then at the line it goes in the gun, cycle, set safety/decock, drop that mag, and insert one of the good ones and holster. That possibly could have even been on a magnet too, come and think of it, so four reloads in pouches to use on the clock could suffice.

Anyone old enough to remember good old Barney Fife?

Don't weigh yourself down with all your mag pouches full on a stage that has a lot more running than round count.
