On the 18th, do you have to provide the firearm serial number for the reference or not? If not, then there is very little that they can trace. You cld be selling a single shot high powered air rifle to joe blow. If you have to say which gun and serial number then that truly is greasy…

Not yet on the private sales..that will be the next step.
For now they are just tracking the transactions.
Once this "not a registry" gets up and running, then models/serial numbers will 100% be required at some point.
"Gun control" is a feel good term, which is designed to disquise the globalist disarmament efforts under the pretense of fighting crime.

This might have been asked already but does this apply to private sales as well?

Edit: just saw the previous post.

Cool, so now we are going to have to look for underground gunsmiths? Guess I might have to take a smithing course or two.

Don't bail and sell your firearms. Keep them, enjoy them for what they are and why you have them.
The more of us that sell, the more info they'll have. Don't make it easy for them.

The people that vote for that idiot and his party in the future need to know that their hard earned cash did nothing to stop us from legal ownership and lawful use.

This is how and where we need to vent our disgust with a government that relies on public ignorance for votes to maintain party status.

And we need to get the media moguls on board with telling it as it is, instead of the way the little twerp in Ottawa wants it to appear.

    Just my opinion.

It looks to me like this has nothing to do with firearms safety. The only things that such registries do is enable them to monitor the sales of used guns for tax purposes.

It just keeps on getting worse, has done for well over forty years now, it is plainly obvious where we are heading. Don' t forget very soon they will be proposing a new and likely a very draconian replacement for the expired C-21, just wait for that one, all in all C-68 on steroids.

I've seen this movie before in my country of birth Yugoslavia. This ends with eventual gun confiscations across the board and a totalitarian regime in line with Agenda 2030. They've said what they're doing and they are doing it. You can believe what you want but we will have to give up all the guns or be sent to COVID camps. Which btw they didn't build for nothing. Actually once you do you will be sent to camps anyway if you complain about the boot on your neck. 20th century is rife with these examples. And they're always the same. Enjoy your toys while you can. Mr fancy socks is coming for them.
