Not much of a lever action fan but that model looks pretty appealing.

What's up with that front sight? Just doesn't look quite right. I have two 1895s and one is a GS with skinner front and back and this new front sight is just weird IMO. Nice gun otherwise. 2Kish with shipping and taxes?! Big pass.
    Canada ended when Trudeau began.

The front sight is from Skinner, it’s their “Bear Buster” model and is the same as was fitted on the original Marlin Trapper TSBL. Nice and slim and snag free and works quite well. The rear “Express” model sight is the same as the original Trapper as well.

Agree on the price being kinda high but back when Remington was making these pre bankruptcy they were around $1500 Canadian, I suspect that this along with the SBL will have a lot of demand be very hard to find on the shelf.

It's too bad we couldn't make use of the threaded muzzle like in some of the free states down south. That's the one thing that would take this over the top.

$1795 on the site, interesting that the distributer listed $1899 in their thread, so this seems like a deal!
