Freedom Ventures / STI "Super" Trojan
When STI (now Staccato) discontinued making single stack 1911s, we were able to pick up some frames, slides and barrels in their raw state.
We commissioned a limited run of four 9mm 1911 pistols using these premium parts and other top of the line parts that we import for the competition market.
These custom 1911s have been dubbed "Super Trojans" since they are built on master series forged frames. (Original STI Trojans were built on cast frames)
In an effort to ensure these were the best quality pistols, we went to the best craftsmen in Canada to have them built. The barrel-slide-frame fit was done by gunsmith IPSCAlex - and it's just perfect. The cerkote finish on these guns was done perfectly by Black Box Customs. The rest of the gun was fitted, tested and tuned in-house here at Freedom Ventures by Sean Hansen.
The Master Series Frame is forged, has frontstrap serrations and a squared trigger guard.
The Trojan Slide is CNC machined from Bar Stock and has both front and rear serrations.
The Bushing Barrel from STI is accurate and legal for most competition divisions.
The action is Cylinder and Slide; Hammer, Sear, Disconnector and related springs.
The Mainspring Housing EGW - serrated.
Wide Ed Brown Ambi thumb safeties.
Drilled and Tapped Dawson Mag Release ready for the button you like best.
The trigger pull is a very crisp sub-3 pound pull.
The grips are Techwell Positech with TGO magwells.
The trigger is Bul's interchangable shoe design.
The sights Dawson. F/O and Adjustable.
There is a one year warranty from FV with these custom pistols.
Comes with one Metalform 10 round magazine, pistol case and bushing wrench.
These are the perfect 1911 for competition shooting. Accurate, hefty (2lb, 9 oz.). Able to shoot light target loads and heavy combat loads reliably.
