What's up with all the crying about the govt banning it because it looks tacticool? To this day they've never banned a .22 by legislation or OIC besides the Smith & Wesson M&P15-22, but that's just because it's an AR. You're all gonna be just fine if you drop a couple hundred bones on it. It's got a near zero percent chance of getting banned.

You're completely incorrect. There is a giant list of rimfire rifles banned based only on their looks. Happened in 1993.
