Importing handguns and other firearms into the US from Canada.

Importing handguns and other firearms into the US from Canada.

As we have had several people express interest as well as having previously utilized this service, we feel it would be best to explain the process in detail.
These firearms can be exported out of Canada and given to family members or friends. We also work with Gunbroker and offer a service for you to sell your firearm in the US. This will be explained in detail further on.
These options are available for almost all firearms. We say most, as there have been some previously military marked firearms and AR-15/AR-10 rifles that do not qualify for export.
We can export handguns, prohibited handguns, rifles, and shotguns, and also restricted and non restricted rifles and shotguns. Rifles and shotguns must have a barrel length of 16” or longer. It should be noted SBR’s are not exportable (short barreled rifles)

    The process is as follows:

    1. When filling out the import form located on the main page of the Canadian website, it will give you two options. In this case it is important to click on the option importing from Canada to the US.
    2. If you are not a previous customer, you will be required to open an account and upload your PAL. If you are a US resident, please upload your driver’s license. We can export handguns, rifles, shotguns.
    3. You will need to fill out one import form for each firearm you wish to send to the United States. On the import form please state whether you require IRUNGUNS to sell the firearm for you or require IRUNGUNS to send it to an FFL for a family member or friend to receive.
    4. If you wish for IRUNGUNS to sell your firearm, please include a realistic value you are willing to accept. Please remember you will be paid in US funds.
    5. If you are sending the firearm to a friend or family member you will need to have the FFL (Federal Firearms Licensee) information when filling out the export form.
    6. If you are in possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm you must contact the RCMP and have the firearm or multiple firearms transferred to IRUNGUNS before you can ship them to us.
    7. The RCMP will provide you with a transfer reference number. This is a two step process and you will have to email carolyn@irunguns.ca with your IO or export number and the transfer reference number provided to you by the RCMP. If you fail to do this will not be able to accept the transfer which will cause serious delays.
    8. Once the transfer is complete you are authorized to mail the firearm to our Canadian location.
    9. Once we receive the firearm Carolyn will file the required export applications with the ATF. This process is usually streamlined although you may be required to provide extra information on the firearm at which point, we will reach out to you.
    10. Once the permit application with ATF is approved, we will do our best to export the firearm in a timely manner to our Arizona facility where it will be finalized and either sold or sent to the FFL of your choosing. Please keep in mind we only export once per month.

    Costs: In Canadian funds

The first firearm export fee is $200.00, additional firearms are $150.00 Canadian dollars. The $50.00 discount resets on the 15th of each month.
Each firearm ships to Arizona for a flat rate fee of $25.00 per firearm

    Costs: in US Funds
Once your firearms arrive in Arizona it is required that it be marked with Importers Markings. This is done onsite using either a Fiber or Co2 laser. The cost of this is $25.00USD. The engraving is professionally done in compliance with current ATF regulations.
If the firearm does not qualify for NAFTA or USCML there will be duty applied to the value. This is set by US Customs and will be collected prior to release of the firearm.
If the firearm is to be shipped to an FFL there will be US shipping which will also be collected before the firearm will be released.

Selling your firearm in the US:

The following protocol will be applied if we are selling your firearm for you in the US:
    1. IRUNGUNS will research the firearm to construct an ad that will get you top dollar for your investment.
    2. IRUNGUNS will take detailed pictures and post the ad of your firearm or firearm collection on Gunbroker. You will receive a link to the listing so you can watch the progress.
    3. Once your firearm sells IRUNGUNS will mitigate the sale and collect funds. This includes sales taxes and shipping.

Payment to you will be in the form of a check, if you wish to receive a wire you will be responsible for all fees associated with the additional costs. Payment will be made in US funds.

The following fee structure will be applied.

Sold: The sale price of your firearm before taxes
Final Value Fee: Gunbroker listing fee
3% Credit Card Fee: If we take a credit card for payment.
10% Consignment Fee: 10% of the sale price paid to IRUNGUNS for said service.
25.00 for the engraving of importer markings.
Customs duty should there be any.

    Balance To be paid:

    The IRUNGUNS Team

Flat rate shipping to Canada is 25.00USD on all accessory and ammunition orders regardless of quantities ordered. Firearms are exported to Canada at a flat rate of 25.00USD per firearm.

Wow, you guys will do all this but you're too busy to take orders from the US site to ship to Canada. What a crock of shi#. Disgusted with your other thread bragging about getting guns into the hands of Canadians and your company overall. I hope more people blacklist you. Done and goodbye.

    EDIT:
Credit where credit is due. I sh*t on these guys for freezing everyone out for the last month, but I have to admit, they are definately making up for it. Many Canadians will now get their chance to own a quality pistol, you have done good IRUN, keep up the good work.

Looks like IRG is going to have some competition. This guy is going to start a gun importing business and show you how it's done!

What about banned NRs? There is no registration record of them with RCMP to request a transfer.

Like RA XCRs, CSA vz58s etc.
