    Could you save more grams with a simpler adapter from the carbon fiber tube to the threaded hole in the receiver? I'm a bit hazy on what's won with the two-piece setup with the 1913 rail in the middle, other than being able to swap with other rifles/stocks that share that.

    It looks like you'd need a screwdriver to remove, so you'd stay on the good side of the 26" overall rule but it wouldn't be easy enough to remove to readily fit the rifle in a shorter case or safe.

    Production units will have a blued option, yes?
